2001: A Space Odyssey. A film by Stanley Kubrick.
2001: A Space Odyssey by Stanley Kubrick is a film that depicts the origins and development of mankind from an evolutionary point of view. It regards mankind as if it has been gradually over millennia of time developed by a process of evolution; beginning with primitive lifeforms supposedly and extremely gradually developing from lower forms of life into higher forms of life; until the animals and mankind resulted; as if by chance; without any intelligent agent or cause of that evolutionary change existing.
In contrast to that paradigm, there are Intelligent Design concepts that support a paradigm in which the Universe has been created by an intelligent entity; namely by Almighty God.
Whereas in evolutionary concepts mankind strarts out as a group of primitive beings similar to apes and chimpanzees and then slowly develops over a long period of time, in Intelligent Design concepts, mankind starts out as created by Almighty God in the image or likeness of God; and is very intelligent from the start, comparatively.
