Essay #19:

What might Noah have seen, when he looked up into the sky?

Mankind can be thought of as a species of sentient beings, as a particular variety of species that was created by God, among possibly innumerable other types of species also created by God, us human beings being only one such species of sentient creatures, created by God.

A number of decades ago there was in the Seattle PI newspaper a regularly appearing column authored by Dr. Billy Graham in which it referred to God and the angels on God’s side as if they all were a species of sentient Beings that could be considered as a group, as a whole, that particular group possibly being able to be being referred to as "God" or "Elohim"; as well as Beings in that group being able to be being referred to individually.

The Lord Jesus said somewhere in the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John something to the effect of that:

"The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God is being preached, and men are attempting to enter into it, instead."

From the Blue Letter Bible of the Internet, here is a more exact rendition of that quote, which is from Luke 16:16.

Luk 16:16

The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

The name "John" probably refers to John the Baptist; who allegedly was involved with baptizing persons who had had a change of heart and had "repented" or "re-considered" the world and what God and His servants the Prophets had said about righteousness; and about how they should live their lives according to principles of righteousness described in the holy scriptures;

Which the Holy Spirit, Who might thus have been imploring them to do better; advocating that they instead attempt to live compassionately and righteously; He the Holy Spirit pleading with them  to have more compassion on other people; and/or to have more compassion on other creatures; advocating that persons sincerely attempt to help others;  He the Holy Spirit doing such pleading with them deep down in the central depths of their spirits; "where the Holy Spirit dwells"; concerning God’s principles of ethical and moral righteousness; principles of what is Right, and what is Wrong, ethically and morally, according to God.

Genesis 6: Concerning Noah’s ark, and the instructions from God for constructing it:

1. Whether It was by direct verbal two way dialogue of verbal words exchanged between God and Noah, or:

2. Whether, as one little computer concepts booklet of the 1960's related to IBM computers and computers’ general functioning principles in general has insinuated, by a mysterious process of God mixing His concepts in with Noah's thinking as Noah did the activities of his daily life as a human being who apparently knew about how to build boats; and his design related reasonings; to by such a mysterious process of God mixing His thoughts and reasonings in with Noah's thoughts and reasonings such that wisdom was imparted to Noah; and also to inform Noah that he should attempt without failing to build an ark-ship; and how Noah should proceed to attempt to build it;

Which, if comprehended and started on and finished securely in time enough; or hopefully even early enough for to have a safety margin concerning completing it on time; for when it would eventually start to rain so much that there would be a giant flood that would destroy everyone not able to stay afloat in heavy seas for possibly as long as, or even longer than, 40 days and nights of both raining, and of the "fountains of the deep breaking up" enough for the waters of the seas to rise by some 15 cubits, or some 22.5 feet; and whether more than that, as the Bible says, possibly came later, so that "and the mountains were covered" may apply to either only the immediate locality of the region of Mesopotamia with its possibly often flooding of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers; or whether as insinuated by recent television documentaries concerning such possibilities: whether only a local flood involving the Black Sea, and a wall of water similar to a tsunami; or, as one Bible commentator mentioned:

Did "and the mountains were covered" refer to an actual complete covering of all the very high mountains as well; even to Mount Everest’s type and size of height, if mountains as high as Mount Everest were existing at present day Mount Everest's height; back then, as high as it is today; which is probably something such as about 30,000 feet high?

It says in the Holy Bible that when God created the Earth, or possibly when God formed the Earth into a habitable planet, it possibly previously being "without form and void", as the Holy Bible mentions; where concerning such it says also in the Book of Genesis, the first book of the Holy Bible, that "the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters";

From the Blue Letter Bible of the Internet, here is Genesis 1:2.

*****************************************************************

It says that God did such things as to create "a firmament" or "an expanse’ in the middle of the waters, with waters ending up above the expanse, and other waters resulting beneath the expanse.

Was this firmament or expanse between the surface of Earth's lower waters and its plausible "higher waters" possibly in orbit around the Earth, i.e., in other words, "the first heaven"; or was it an expanse between Earth and waters somewhere out in outer Space; i.e., in other words, as constituting "the second heaven"?

Thus, there may have resulted waters in orbit around our planet, and waters underneath those waters; "down here", on or near the surface of the Earth; there thus being a "lower sea" with "an expanse" of gaseous atmosphere in between; and an "upper sea" out in orbit around the Earth.

Then later, when Noah looked upwards towards the sky, did he possibly see something disconcerting there?

Possibly did Noah see the swirling of immensely huge waves of water out in orbit around our planet?

Besides the ubiquitous evil of mankind's heart thoughts (See Genesis 6:5); that according to the Holy Bible was going on "continually"; what specifically might have been another factor in why Noah "moved with fear" and built an ark "to the saving of his household"?

Did God use what Noah possibly saw, to further warn him of such a possible impending disaster?
